Really love this m made by printing ink with a rubber lettering kit on to acetate.
The letter M is a very important part of typography. The capital M is usually the widest letter in a typeface so traditionally, it was used as a measurement for calculating spacing. The problem with it was that the length of an ‘M’ varied with each typeface and point size.
We now know this measurement as Em and is probably used most commonly in web design. An em is a unit of typography and equal to the point size being used. For example, one em in a 12 point typeface equals 12 points. This unit is the same for all typefaces at a given point size.
